The learner applies the skills and tools necessary to facilitate problem solving in a team environment. Each learner will demonstrate the application of the benefits and challenges of team work, necessary roles in a team, stages of team development, different approaches to problem solving, consensus, a systemic process of problem definition, data acquisition, analysis, developing alternative solutions, solution implementation, and evaluation.
Note 1: This is an online class which is compressed to less than the standard term length, which requires more work in a shorter amount of time. Prior to the first week of class, your instructor will send an email to your 'Western' email account with more information regarding the class. Note 2: This class section is reserved for students in the Hospitality Management program. Please note: Pre-work is required for this class. Students will receive an email at their Western student account one week prior to the class start date with a list of assignments that are to be completed prior to the first class meeting.
